Buoy Local® is a mobile app-based rewards program that rewards users for shopping locally with rewards points to redeem and spend at participating locally-owned businesses, keeping more money in our communities. To get started, simply follow the instructions below and begin earning rewards points at your favorite local spots!
All Buoy Local businesses offer 1 point for every $1 spent. You can find all participating businesses in the Buoy Local app* or our online directory. Rewards points can be redeemed for “Buoy Bucks” (100 points = $1), which will then be refunded to your linked card the next time you shop at a participating business.

Get Your Card
Simply grab your Bangor Savings Bank Debit Mastercard® or your Buoy Local card.
If you don't have a Bangor Savings Bank debit card, visit your closest Maine or New Hampshire Bangor Savings Bank branch to open a checking account and receive your card instantly at most locations, or you can open a checking account online and have a debit card sent to you.
To get a Buoy Local card, you can request one online or pick one up at your local Bangor Savings Bank branch.

Find the Buoy Local app* in the App Store® or Google Play. Download and get started. It’s fast, friendly, and easy to set up!

If you have a Bangor Savings Bank debit card, link it to the app*.
